Seaford to Frankston

Kayak with Martin

An absolutely great day for a paddle down this river and into the bay.
The creek had a lot to offer in terms of views, wildlife and different sights.

An easy paddle and certainly worth a repeat, just check tides to have an incoming for return journey.

Yarra river bellbird park

A casual paddle today from bellbird park to Fairfield boat house with Vatsal heading upstream along the Yarra river. The day was cloudy and with some rain but no wind which kept things reasonable but wet The bats were plentiful, with seemingly more than usual in the trees.  The water levels were up from recent rains and a lot of junk floating in the river as a result. Nice coffee and the return journey was a lot quicker with the current running due to recent rains. Wildlife was out and about, with very little humans around I think helped. Waiting out a rain shower under the eastern freeway, luckily only a couple occurred on the paddle up The flying fox colony is always a bit different  The boathouse. With the river up the normal docking was underwater but always a great spot to enjoy a coffee break.

Wonga Park with Steve.

Very nice Kayak with Steve on the Yarra river ,  starting from the lower homestead road carpark and  heading up river for around 5.6 klm. The river is at times narrower with a number of fallen trees to dodge around. funny enough the amount of bird and animal llife was a lot less than last week during the hot days. The journey map , a nice 11.1 klm 2:54 hrs with breaks incl   Steve the paddle master!

Yarra - Studley Park to Fairfield Boat House

Great Kayak with Steve and Martin  Launching just down from Studley park and then heading upstream to Fairfield Boat house and return. all up around 10klm, pleasant paddling with no obstructions or big current. passing the Flying Foxes certainly added a bit of interest to the paddle.
