Yarra river bellbird park
A casual paddle today from bellbird park to Fairfield boat house with Vatsal heading upstream along the Yarra river.
The day was cloudy and with some rain but no wind which kept things reasonable but wet
The bats were plentiful, with seemingly more than usual in the trees.
The water levels were up from recent rains and a lot of junk floating in the river as a result.
Nice coffee and the return journey was a lot quicker with the current running due to recent rains.
Wildlife was out and about, with very little humans around I think helped.
Waiting out a rain shower under the eastern freeway, luckily only a couple occurred on the paddle up
The flying fox colony is always a bit different
The boathouse. With the river up the normal docking was underwater but always a great spot to enjoy a coffee break.
